Terms of Service

Last updated October 29, 2026. These terms cover the Orvia Maps website, the Map Explorer and the Orvia Maps APIs.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Orvia Maps (“Orvia”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Orvia on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that company.

2. Your account

  • Accounts have no password: you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure — whoever can read it can sign in.
  • Give accurate details (name, and whether the account is for personal or business use).
  • One person or organisation per account. You are responsible for all activity on it.
  • Tell us at support@orviamaps.ir if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. API keys

API keys identify your account and count usage against your plan. Keep secret keys out of public code, rotate a key you think has leaked, and revoke keys you no longer use. Usage made with your keys is billed to you.

4. Plans, usage and payment

  • Each plan includes a monthly allowance of usage units and the limits listed on the Pricing page. Requests beyond your allowance or rate limit may be slowed or refused until the next period or an upgrade.
  • Prices are in Toman. Paid plans are charged per billing period, in advance.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time; a change applies from the next period unless the page says otherwise. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • We may change prices or plans with at least 30 days' notice by email.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use Orvia to harm, track or surveil people without a lawful basis;
  • bulk-download, scrape or cache map data beyond what your application needs to work;
  • resell raw API access, or share keys to get around plan limits;
  • probe, overload or disrupt the service, or bypass rate limits or security measures;
  • upload unlawful content, or data you don't have the right to use, to Location Data.

We may suspend keys or accounts that do, normally after warning you by email.

6. Your data

Points, collections and other content you add with Location Data stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you. You can read them back through the API or delete them at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

7. Map data and attribution

Map data is built from OpenStreetMap and other open sources, under their licences (OpenStreetMap: ODbL). Maps you show must keep the attribution the Orvia styles display. Map data can be incomplete or out of date — don't rely on it alone where errors could cause harm, such as emergency services or safety-critical navigation.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Orvia available and publish incidents on the Status page, but the service is provided “as is” without a guaranteed uptime unless you have a written agreement (for example on Enterprise). We may change or retire API features; breaking changes go into a new API version, with notice.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Orvia is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Orvia and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these Terms. Sections on payment, liability and your data continue to apply after an account ends.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll email you about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Orvia after that means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
